Fuzhou-Based Rockchip to Demo eHome Cloud Solution at
2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES); Due in March 2012
FUZHOU, CHINA (3 January 2012) – Fuzhou Rockchip Electronics Co., Ltd, a leading developer of fabless semiconductors with an emphasis on Mobile Internet Platforms, will announce the impending arrival of the eHome Cloud Solution, which will debut at the 2012 CES show in Las Vegas, January 10-13. Our booth - #36835 – will be located in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Upper Level. Rockchip will also participate in ShowStoppers at CES, on Tuesday, January 10 at The Wynn Hotel.
The eHome Cloud Solution technology will be compatible with Android 2.3 initially, and to 4.0 in February 2012. This will allow users to wirelessly sync tablets and smartphones with all PCs and computer in their family network, exchanging resources, sharing and even playing. Someone’s in the kitchen trying to make a cake and you don’t feel like going down to the kitchen? Show them how utilizing your tablet and the kitchen computer or their smartphone, sending directions, photos and even video.
Rockchip is quickly closing the gap with Apple® technologies, as they are currently ranked second in the world behind Apple in MP3/MP4 solutions. More than 80 percent of the Chinese tablet market is currently supported by Rockchip, clearly entrenching the company as the market leader in that country while laying the foundation for eventual expansion Europe and North America.

The RK2918 chip that drives the eHome Cloud Solution was modeled after the RK2818 chip. A part of the RK27XX series, eHome has aptly been recognized as the most innovative of the series.
